FAQ

The questions we get most often. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Is this sexual?

No. Our containers are non-sexual, and that's a promise rather than a preference. Clothes stay on, there's no contact with genitals, breasts, or buttocks, no grinding or kissing, and no propositioning anyone during the event. The promise is what makes it possible to relax. The full rules are in the code of conduct.

What if sexuality arises?

Sometimes it does. Sustained, warm, affectionate touch can produce arousal or a flicker of attraction, and that's a normal thing bodies and hearts do — not a rule you broke and not something to be ashamed of. What matters is what you do next, not what you felt.

Shift your position, change the kind of contact, or take a break in the opt-out space until you settle. You never need to explain why. Don't make it someone else's problem: no acting on it, no commenting on anyone's body, and no propositioning during the event. If you want to ask someone out, do it another day and off site, so the evening stays a place where nobody has to field advances. If it feels like a lot, tell a facilitator — they've heard it before and they'll help you find your footing. The code of conduct says the same thing in fewer words.

Do I need to bring a partner?

No, and most people don't. The evening is structured so that you meet people through facilitated conversation and small-group exercises before any touch is exchanged. If you're anxious about coming alone, that's exactly the case this structure was designed for.

What if I don't want to be touched?

Then you don't get touched. All touch here is invited, not assumed, and no is always a complete sentence. You can stop or change anything at any time, without a reason and without apologizing. There's a designated opt-out space you can step into whenever you want to step back from an activity, and rejoin whenever you're ready. Plenty of people spend part of an evening just watching by the fire.

Is it really sober?

Yes. No alcohol or other substances before or during the event, and no vaping or smoking anywhere on the property. This is not negotiable, and it's part of why the container works.

Is this a party?

No. It's a workshop. Expect facilitation, structure, and a real practice to leave with. There's open social time in the second half, but it's held rather than loose.

Where is it, and why isn't the address public?

Events are at The Bliss Fungalow, Eugene 97405. It's a private home and a family's sanctuary, not a venue, so the address is only shared with people who have registered. Full arrival details are sent after you register. Please don't share it publicly.

Is childcare available?

Yes, at most events. There's dedicated on-site childcare in its own separate space, separately staffed, specifically so that parents can attend. Children stay in the childcare space and don't enter the dance floor, cuddle space, or fire pit, and no adult is ever alone with a child. Availability varies by event, so check the ticket listing or email us.

When should I arrive?

Within the arrival window, which is the half hour between doors opening and doors closing. Exact times are on each event's ticket listing. Doors really do close, because the opening container sets the norms for the whole evening and it doesn't work to have people walking in partway through.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move, sit, and lie down in, and that you're happy to stay fully dressed in all evening. Layers are useful, since you'll be moving between a warm indoor dance floor and an outdoor fire pit.

What's the difference between Snuggle Dance and Snuggle Puddle?

Snuggle Dance is built around movement: we teach Micro Fusion partner dance, and much of the evening happens on your feet. Snuggle Puddle is slower and lower to the ground, with no dance to learn — structured consent and touch exercises, then open time resting together on cushions and mats.

Both are sober, platonic, and facilitated, and both teach something. Pick whichever sounds more like what you actually want tonight. Each ticket listing says which format it is.

Do I need to know how to dance?

No. At a Snuggle Dance, Micro Fusion is taught from scratch on the night and it's built to be learnable in one session — small movements, no footwork to memorize, no experience assumed. At a Snuggle Puddle there's no dancing at all.

What if something goes wrong?

Tell any facilitator. You don't need proof and you don't need to be sure. You won't be asked to confront anyone or to explain yourself in front of a group, and we will act on it, including asking someone to leave. See if something goes wrong in the code of conduct.

Can I take photos?

No photos or video at events. If we do a photo shoot for promotion, it's set up separately and explicitly, and nobody appears in it without opting in.
